Start-ups: Standsome: The standing desk based on the plug-in principle

The Mainz furniture start-up Standsome produces desk attachments and standing desks from FSC-certified wood. The highlight: They can be put together from four to six wooden panels in a few simple steps. With this idea, Standsome is now even expanding to North America.

With height-adjustable work surfaces that flexibly complement existing tables, Standsome wants to promote health in everyday work – because they motivate people to work while standing and thus counteract the lack of exercise, which is often the cause of back pain, musculoskeletal and circulatory diseases.

The special feature: the standing desks and desk attachments are set up in seconds using the plug-in principle. Distribution is mainly via e-commerce.
