At its traditional Golf Cup, distributor Tech Data promises a mixture of technology, sport and social commitment. Of course, the informative part was not neglected this year either: AWS, Cisco, Dell, Hitachi Vantara, IBM, LogPoint, Marvell and Microsoft used the tech data format “Advanced Solutions Roundtable” to present their products and Present solutions.
The next day we went to the picturesque course of the Beuerberg Golf Club with a view of the autumnal Alps. The reseller teams were supported by prominent guests. In addition to Holger Fach and Dieter Thoma, regular guests Sven Ottke and Lars Riedel were also there.
Michael Görner, Vice President of Advanced Solutions at Tech Data, welcomes the golf enthusiastic guests.
Niclas Otte, Head of Strategic Partnerships DACH at AWS, uses the opportunity to get in touch with the tech data partners in a relaxed atmosphere.
Doris Armer, Distribution Account Manager at Cisco, knows what matters in golf and in the distribution business.
Marco Braun, Vice President Partner Ecosystem at IBM Germany, likes to use the golf stage to maintain the partner network.
Michael Görner (Tech Data) cuts a fine figure not only with demanding solutions, but also with demanding discounts.
Full concentration when teeing off: Force Net boss Jean Ora.
Cisco marketing specialist Silvia Franke was also able to enter the list of winners as the winner gross women.
A lack of golf experience is also not a handicap at the Tech Data Golf Cup: The first foundations for a steep golf career are laid in the trial course.
Tom Meiler, managing director of Meilenstein eK and moderator of the evening, meets fellow golf enthusiasts with Rainer Hunkler (Hunkler GmbH & Co. KG), Michael Hitzelberger (Tech Data), Franz Klotz (Cancom).
Tom Meiler (milestone), Barbara Koch and Michael Görner (both Tech Data) are looking forward to a successful Golf Cup 2021.
Thanks to donations and the proceeds of the evening auction, which included a golf trip to the Costa Navarino, a large donation was raised for a good cause. “This year we were again able to hand over a nice donation check to the Children’s Aid Organ Transplantation Sportler für Organspende eV (KiO), which was subsequently topped up again. A total of 16,350 euros benefited the organization this year,” says Michael Görner, Vice President of Advanced Solutions at Tech Data.
The KiO supports families with organ transplants for children who are in a socially or financially difficult situation. She directs the donations to projects that are normally not covered by the health insurances and thus helps parents who sometimes find themselves in great financial need due to the illness of their children. Since the beginning of the traditional golf tournament, the KiO has received donations totaling more than 280,000 euros.
