Officially .. Barcelona appoints Barguan as interim coach to succeed Koeman

Barcelona announced today, Thursday, that it has appointed Serge Barguan as interim coach of its team, succeeding his predecessor, Ronald Koeman.

Until his appointment today, Bargoan worked as a coach for the reserve team (second team) in the Catalan club.

Barcelona sacked Dutch coach Koeman after losing 1-0 to Rayo Vallecano on Wednesday.


And the Spanish newspaper “SPORT” reported – today, Thursday – that Barcelona reached an agreement with Xavi Hernandez, the former star of the team – who is currently coaching the Qatari team Al-Sadd – after the defeat at the Rayo Vallecano stadium.

She pointed out that there is a penalty clause in Xavi’s contract with Al Sadd worth one million euros (about one million and 160 thousand dollars), which requires Barcelona to enter into negotiations with the Qatar Stars League champion.
