The Texas computer manufacturer Dell has presented a new version of its ProSupport suite for PCs. It should make IT support easier with the help of modern AI functions (artificial intelligence) and enable individual support.
With advanced IT management tools, it should be possible, for example, to update BIOS, drivers, firmware and applications from Dell Technologies automatically and remotely and to customize the grouping and management of these updates. In addition, there are tailor-made recommendations for action for the entire PC inventory in one place. For the first time, it should be possible to get an overview of the entire Dell PC fleet. With the support of an AI, changes should be easier to recognize and, if necessary, remotely initiated measures faster.
A user-defined rule engine should also help to define and coordinate remote workflows for remote maintenance on a large scale. In addition, partners can now also view and manage the entire service status for multiple companies with the help of SupportAssist in TechDirect. In addition, you can get extended support from Dell in difficult cases.
The manufacturer has also expanded the security functions. The Intel Management Engine Verification now checks the system firmware and recognizes manipulations. Interested companies and partners can also use the SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) for Trusted Devices from Dell to get an overview of all security-relevant events in an environment.
