After the takeover by HPE, Zerto continues to expand its human resources in Europe. New on board are Matthias Träger as Regional Sales Manager for Southern Germany, Austria and EMEA South and Jochem De Greef as Account Executive in the EMEA cloud team.
For wearers, the new beginning at Zerto is a kind of return: Although it comes from Dell EMC, where he was responsible for strategic accounts in Germany for almost two years, it has its roots at Hewlett-Packard and HP. Träger began his professional career as a dual student at Hewlett Packard and then worked for eight years in various positions for the company and, from 2015, for HP.
Responsibility for southern Germany and Austria will be assumed by Johannes Streibich, who held it until the beginning of the year and was then promoted to Sales Director CEMEA. In 2020, Nils Engelbert, who took on the support of Zerto customers and partners in Northern Germany as Regional Sales Manager, and Reinhard Zimmer, who is responsible for sales in Switzerland, joined the team.
In the EMEA cloud team, Jochem de Greef, as Account Executive, is to expand the DRaaS business in the region in cooperation with the local Enterprise Sales Team from Zerto. De Greef comes from Oracle, where he last worked as Regional Sales Manager for ISVs and OEM partners in the Netherlands. Previously, he worked at Oracle as a sales manager in Spain.
“In the past ten weeks we have strengthened our team by ten more people in order to react to the ongoing growth in Europe,” explains Vera Wolf, Vice President Sales EMEA at Zerto. “With their extensive experience and market knowledge, Träger and de Greef are an enormous strengthening of our European team.” From an external point of view, the new hires are a sign that HPE wants to adhere to the statements made with the takeover: The group had promised to use Zerto’s technology not only for its own products and offers (especially in connection with HPE Greenlake), but also as a to offer a stand-alone product.
