Egypt qualifies for the final round of the African World Cup qualifiers, and Morocco beats Sudan

The Egyptian national team qualified for the final round of the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, after drawing 2-2 with its Angolan hosts, in the fifth round of the sixth group of qualifiers.

And the Egyptian team raised its score to 11 points at the top of the group standings, 4 points ahead of the second-placed Gabon team, so that their confrontation together next Monday is a foregone conclusion after the Egyptian team qualified.

On the other hand, Angola raised its score to 4 points in fourth and last place, two points behind the Libyan team, which is in third place.

The Angolan team advanced through Helder Costa (26), before his colleague M’bala added down the second goal (36 from a penalty kick).

The Egyptian team managed to reduce the difference in the first minute of the calculated time instead of lost through Mohamed Elneny, while Akram Tawfik scored the equalizer (59).

The “Pharaohs” team did not suffer any defeat in the five rounds of the qualifiers, and it also became the fourth team to qualify for the final stage of the qualifiers.

In the ninth group, Morocco defeated its Sudanese counterpart 3-0.

The Moroccan team advanced in the third minute through Ryan Mayi, and in the 61st minute the same player added the second goal.

In the third minute of the second half, Imran Loza scored the third goal.

The Moroccan team, which was part of its ascension to the final round of the qualifiers earlier in the last round, raised its score to 15 points, while the Sudanese team’s balance froze at two points in fourth and last place.

Guinea-Bissau is second with five points, while Guinea is third with four points.

Only the group leaders qualify for the final round of qualifiers, which includes a playoff, the winner of which will qualify for the finals in Qatar next year.
