Afghanistan.. 4 killed, including a journalist, in an explosion west of Kabul

An Afghan security source said that 4 people, including a journalist, were killed and 7 wounded in a bomb explosion targeting a passenger bus, west of the Afghan capital, Kabul.

Government officials and local residents said the explosion occurred by installing a magnetic bomb on a passenger bus in a Shiite-majority area.

“Unfortunately, we lost another journalist,” the Afghan Journalists Center tweeted, explaining that Hamid Seghani, a private correspondent for Ariana TV, was killed in the attack.

Reuters news agency quoted government officials – who declined to reveal their names – that the Islamic State was behind Saturday’s attack, but there was no official comment yet from the authorities, and neither party claimed the attack.

Last week, at least 19 people, including a senior Taliban leader, were killed, and 50 others were wounded in an ISIS attack on Kabul National Military Hospital.
