Thomas Kloth started as Channel Manager DACH at Bitdefender. “Thanks to his many years of activity on the part of distribution, he will help us to optimally serve the needs in the channel,” says Jörg von der Heydt, who has headed the Bitdefender team in the DACH as Regional Director since late summer. It looks like he has already prepared an extensive to-do list for Kloth: “We are continuing to work on expanding our presence in the DACH market and have specific plans – both in inside channel management and in the area,” explains Heydt .
However, this does not deter the graduate engineer Kloth: “Bitdefender convinced me because the manufacturer offers customers the right recipes against current and future cyber risks – and thus opens up the corresponding growth opportunities for the channel. “He’s already looking forward to supporting the new colleagues in the ongoing expansion of the DACH channel.” Here I can bring my many years of experience to the distributor, reseller and manufacturer side. Because IT security and business success are a team task, “says Kloth.
This experience goes back to 1997 and comes from intensive occupation with the areas of networks and IT security – both with distributors, resellers and manufacturers. Most recently, Kloth Channel Account Manager at cybersecurity provider Imperva was responsible for looking after partners in the DACH region. Before that, he worked for Nuvias Germany for over ten years in various positions, most recently as Senior Strategic Account Manager responsible for focus partners.
At Bitdefender, Kloth reports to Peter Wilkens, who has been with the provider for several months as Channel Director DACH. The expansion of the team is to be continued, so it can be assumed that Kloth will have colleagues in the medium term and then possibly a regional or thematic division of labor will be introduced.
