Palestinian factions considered it an affirmation of “the continuation of the revolution.” The occupation kills a Palestinian for allegedly stabbing in Jerusalem and arrests his parents
On Wednesday evening, the Israeli police killed a Palestinian youth in the Old City of East Jerusalem for allegedly stabbing a security racist, and arrested his parents, while Palestinian factions considered the operation “confirmation of the continuation of the revolution.”
And the Israeli police said – in a statement – that the incident occurred near the “Ateret Cohanim” Israeli religious school, where the young man stabbed two Border Policemen who were working there.
She added that the policemen and a civilian security guard who were at the scene neutralized the 16-year-old Omar Ibrahim Abu Asab by shooting him.
On Wednesday evening, the Israeli occupation forces arrested the father of the martyr, according to eyewitnesses.
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency that large Israeli police forces raided the house of Ibrahim Abu Assab in the town of Al-Isawiya in East Jerusalem, and arrested him, his wife, and his eldest son, Hussein (18 years).
They added that clashes erupted in the town between the occupation forces and citizens who threw stones at it, while it responded by firing stun and gas bombs at them, causing dozens of suffocation.
Video clips broadcast by Jerusalemite activists on social media showed the arrest process, during which the voices of neighbors were heard pulling the buttons of the mother and urging her to persevere, while the latter chanted, “My son is a martyr.”
Confirmation of the continuation of the “revolution”
For its part, Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip considered, on Wednesday, that the stabbing operation is an affirmation of the continuation of the Palestinian people’s revolution against the Israeli occupation and its settlers.
This came in separate statements of the Islamic Resistance Movements (Hamas), Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
Hazem Qassem, a Hamas spokesman, said in a statement, “The heroic commando operation in occupied Jerusalem against the soldiers of the Zionist occupation is a new confirmation of the continuation of our people’s revolution against the occupation until it was swept away.”
“The operation reflects the inability of the occupier to stop the uprising of our people, despite all its criminal policies,” he added.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine considered, in a statement, that the stabbing operation “constitutes the response and the way to sweep the occupation and its settlers, and confront the crimes and plans of the occupation against our people and its sanctities.”
The Islamic Jihad movement also praised, in a statement, the stabbing operation, stressing that it was “in the context of the natural response to the continuing crimes of the occupation against our people.”
