Home office forever ?: Working after Corona – what’s next?
How will we work in the future? Will the home office remain the standard for knowledge workers? Will we all go back to the offices and put aside the experiences of the past year and a half? The answers to these questions were provided by companies recently launched in the Great Place to Work- Wettbewerb were recognized as the best ICT employer in the republic.
“We grew during the pandemic and had over 20 hires in 2020. We are expecting many more applications because the crisis is also an opportunity for change for many young people and we have now done very well at Great Place to Work for the seventh time.
We are assuming that after the pandemic, more work will be done using online tools than before. We will continue to offer workshops and training courses remotely.
We look forward to the time when our employees and our customers can get together again and are already planning the first events for autumn, for example our staff meetings, the barbecue parties, our regular running get-together and our user conference. We are missing that at the present time.
Regular on-site work together is important for our corporate culture. The offer for home office will certainly be offered more often than before the Corona crisis. “
“The increased flexibility of remote work will certainly remain because we have found that we have achieved almost all of our goals with this type of work. Nevertheless, we see ourselves confirmed in the fact that personal discourse and creative brainstorming sessions are indispensable in software development are to bring highly complex products with high quality requirements to the market. ”
“I can imagine that a lot of the decentralized work will continue to work like this. Since direct communication with the customer is still very important, some of it will certainly take place on site at the customer. What will certainly remain is the change from” normal “phone call to colleague to video call.”
“Information technology has emerged stronger from the pandemic, and with it BRANDMAIUER IT. We have learned a lot, designed new products and intensified our relationships with our partners through flexibility in times of need. Our eyes have always been directed far ahead and this is how we plan to grow stronger than ever.
Thanks to hybrid models, our project teams are now also more experienced in supraregional matters. We trusted each other “blindly” for a long time. This trust in one another will remain. However, we will have a lot more opportunities to celebrate successes, laugh together, discover our new building and enjoy the beauty of the Palatinate as a team. “
“With regard to work from home concepts, we made quantum leaps in the development last year, on which we will build for the future design of the cooperation will work from home up to three days a week.
This will have a lasting effect on a change in the office landscape. These are upgraded and become platforms for encounter and innovation. For this purpose, collaborative spaces must be created and the number of meeting rooms increased in order to better network the teams with one another technically when they work in parallel from the office and home office. “
“A lot of new things will remain. Flexible work location and working hours are firmly anchored in our company, are lived and accepted. We look forward to personal collaboration in team meetings, creative workshops and joint activities such as barbecuing, sport or a party without distancing immense. Because this is so important for our corporate culture. “
“Basically, extraordinary situations often force us to react quickly and creatively. Challenges often produce new, creative ideas that under normal circumstances would not or would not have come about so quickly. We will have our” all hands “meeting after the pandemic as well generally keep virtual meetings and workshops. Work in the home office will certainly continue and in
be offered and used on a larger scale. Because working at and with the customer is now very easy to implement and accepted remotely. But we will also look forward to celebrating anniversaries, celebrations and events together again. To see each other personally, to exchange ideas and to spend time together. A year ago no one would have appreciated this to this extent and it was taken for granted.
Of course, we would also like to have our regular face-to-face meetings with employees. We would also like to bring the onboarding of new colleagues in the office back to life. Great ideas, such as offering “on-demand” videos for familiarization with certain areas, will in some cases also be used after the pandemic.
We want to get something positive out of difficult times and are grateful for new ideas and approaches. Because every challenge also means an opportunity for positive change. “
