Will Zidane coach Paris Saint-Germain and move Pochettino to Manchester United? The French press answers

The French newspaper “Le Parisien” reported that former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane met with Paris Saint-Germain officials to take over the team’s training.

The newspaper said that the meeting took place at the Le Royal Monceau Hotel – one of the most luxurious hotels in Paris – and Zidane, 49, gathered with Leonardo, the sports director of Saint-Germain, the general manager of the club and Zidane’s close friend Jean-Claude Blanc.

She indicated that the idea that was put forward during the meeting is that Zidane does not want to cut his sabbatical leave this season since his departure from Real Madrid at the end of last season, and that he is ready to coach the Parisian team next summer.

Zinedine Zidane and Pochettino to United

And often – according to the newspaper – Mauricio Pochettino, the current coach of Saint-Germain, will move to train Manchester United, especially since he is no longer standing on solid ground, and rumors abounded about him after his team’s poor performance in the Champions League this season, most recently his defeat against Manchester City last Wednesday, and rumors say that Saint-Germain will abandon him in favor of Manchester United, who are looking for a coach since the dismissal of their coach, Solskjaer.

Pochettino commented on the rumours, saying, “I think we live in a business where rumors spread, sometimes negative and sometimes positive. That’s what we say about rumours.”

And the Spanish newspaper “MARCA” reported that Zidane was waiting to become the next France coach, as Didier Deschamps seemed ready to leave after the World Cup in Qatar next year. But these latest developments indicate that he has changed his mind.

Marca said that Zidane is the right coach for Paris Saint-Germain, as he is distinguished by his calm style, and has experience in winning titles, especially the Champions League, the championship that the Parisian team desires, and knows how to get the best results from a group of high-paid stars, as he demonstrated during Two spells in Real Madrid training.
