12 matches postponed .. Corona ravages the Premier League
The Corona pandemic caused the postponement of two more matches in the English Premier League (Premier League).
And the English Premier League announced – in a statement – today, Thursday, the postponement of the match between Liverpool and its guest Leeds United and the match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford, scheduled for December 26, to a later date due to the emergence of cases of infection with the Corona virus in the Watford and Leeds teams.
And the League added – in the statement – “After receiving two postponement requests from Leeds United and Watford – as a result of the emergence of cases of Covid-19 infection in their ranks – the League’s Board of Directors held a meeting this morning and agreed with regret to postpone the two teams’ matches scheduled for December 26.”

The number of Premier League matches canceled during the past two weeks has increased to 12.
And the Leeds United training ground was closed to contain the Corona virus crisis, after 5 new cases of infection were recorded today, Thursday, among players and affiliates.
