What awaits Al-Aqsa Mosque in 2022?

During the current year, violations in Al-Aqsa Mosque escalated, some of which were recorded as a precedent, which the extremist Temple groups considered new gains for them to follow. But what awaits Al-Aqsa next year on the level of several files?

Occupied JerusalemThe year 2021 may be one of the harshest years for the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, during which settlers carried out exceptional attacks that prompted the extremist Temple groups to announce that they had completed all the goals they set for themselves in “Al-Aqsa” during the biblical feasts, and that they had come a long way on imposing all the biblical worship in it. without facing deterrence.

Throughout the year, qualitative incursions were carried out inside the mosque led by rabbis, soldiers, officers, intelligence agents, and former Knesset members who deliberately organized guided tours of the alleged temple, passed Biblical lessons in the squares, organized rabbinic blessing and puberty ceremonies for males and females, announced and blessed marriage in the squares, in addition to reading psalms. Torah.

The “Return to the Temple Mount” group announced last September that the trumpet (one of the biblical rituals) was blown inside Al-Aqsa for the first time since the occupation of Jerusalem, and that the extremists introduced palm fronds (the fruits of the Throne Day) to the mosque on the first day of the Eid, and they raised the flag. Israeli in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque on the same holiday.

Among the most serious violations that were also recorded, extremist Rabbi Yaakov Hemin published a picture of the Dome of the Rock and announced the need for an engineer specialized in demolishing facilities to present a proposal for how to remove the building, to build the Third Temple in its place.

On the biblical Hanukkah festival of lights, extremists lit candles and lighters at Al-Aqsa in reference to their menorah and raised a sign that read, “We have come to expel the darkness.”

The government and the judiciary are partners in the violations

The attacks carried out by the intruders were no less serious than the violations of the Israeli police inside the mosque’s courtyards and chapels. It allowed the introduction of tools for measuring space and photography, while hampering the restoration and maintenance operations in Al-Aqsa, and activated the loudspeakers that it had installed in the vicinity of the mosque, and deliberately disturbed the worshipers under the pretext of broadcasting instructions related to the prevention of the Corona virus.

The mosque turned into a battlefield when the police, army, and special forces stormed its courtyards on the seventh of last May, to force them to empty them of worshipers and worshipers. These forces fired rubber-coated metal bullets in addition to gas and sound bombs, injuring more than 205 people.

The occupation stormed Al-Aqsa again on the tenth of last May, which coincided with the 28th of Ramadan, in an attempt to secure a safe path for the intruders (the so-called Unification Day of Jerusalem), and was unable to do so because of the resistance it witnessed; Excessive violence was used, which resulted in 612 injuries among the worshipers.

On the same day, the resistance’s missiles forced the occupation to retreat from its incursions to Al-Aqsa; The Moroccan Gate was closed to extremists for 19 days.

After opening it and recording an escalation in the violations of extremist Temple groups, the judiciary rode the wave and an Israeli court ruled the right of Jews to perform “silent” prayer in Al-Aqsa, and later the Education Committee of the Knesset (the Israeli parliament) issued a decision to organize tours of Jewish schools in Al-Aqsa as the Temple Mount.

Will 2022 be decisive?

The researcher in the affairs of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, Radwan Amr, spoke to Al-Jazeera Net about what awaits the mosque in 2022, based on the attacks that the mosque witnessed during the current year.

He said that the year 2022 will be a decisive year in the history, present and future of Al-Aqsa, because of the files it inherited from the year 2021 at the religious, security and administrative levels.

On the religious level, extremist Temple groups are anticipating 2022 – according to Amr – as a central year in prophecies and beliefs that these groups have been waiting for for many years, whether those related to the construction of the alleged temple and the appearance of the Messiah the Savior “in cases of optimism among some” or related to making radical changes on the land In fact, “The Lord will facilitate it for these groups inside Al-Aqsa until they establish the Temple of the Lord.”

Consequently, the researcher asserts that these beliefs will be a motive for the members of the Temple groups in their criminal tendency against Al-Aqsa, based on the prophecies of the Holy Books, according to their claim.

On the religious level as well, the aggression against Al-Aqsa is expected to escalate next April; As the seven days of the Hebrew Passover will coincide with the month of Ramadan, specifically on the days from 15 to 21 of the holy month, and it is expected that the temple groups will insist during this holiday on storming Al-Aqsa on all its days, and on trying to present the “Easter sacrifice” in its courtyards, an attempt that It has been enforced in practice since 2015.

On the security front, the year 2022 – according to Al-Maqdisi researcher – will witness unprecedented security tightening on Al-Aqsa and its people and its surroundings, especially after the recent series of individual operations that were raised after their implementation of the necessity of installing electronic gates 100 meters from the gates of Al-Aqsa, as well as at the entrances to the Old City. .

Finally, 2022 will bring developments at the administrative level of Al-Aqsa Mosque, after the occupation succeeded in inserting the Islamic Endowment Department in Jerusalem with the management of the Islamic presence in Al-Aqsa only, according to Amr.

He added, “The occupation kept the endowments management crumbs in Al-Aqsa, represented by a human guard only without any tools and ingredients. The call to prayer is now reduced and sometimes canceled from some speakers, and the Friday sermon is under surveillance and threat to the preacher, as well as preventing the introduction of raw materials needed for restoration and trying to limit the repairs inside the chapels. Just”.

Amr concluded – his speech to Al Jazeera Net – by saying that the role of endowments should be strengthened; Because next year, Israel may resort to unprecedented measures that end the role of the Endowment Department or find an alternative to it within the systems of Abraham’s agreements and the deal of the century.
