The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that a Palestinian youth was killed today, Friday, by the Israeli occupation forces, who shot him for allegedly trying to stab soldiers at a military checkpoint south of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

The ministry added that the martyr hails from the village of Qarawat Bani Hassan in the Salfit Governorate in the West Bank, which has been occupied by Israel since 1967.

And the Israeli army had said in a brief statement that its forces had neutralized a Palestinian youth who tried to stab its soldiers near the settlement of Ariel, and the occupation army added that there were no injuries among the members of the military checkpoint at the Getai Avisar junction.

The occupation authorities stated that the Palestinian youth got off from “a vehicle that arrived at a place near a military checkpoint at the Getai Avisar junction (near the city of Salfit), before he rushed with a knife towards a bus stop where civilians and Israeli soldiers were waiting.” The army added that “soldiers opened fire.” attacker and neutralize him.”
