13 dead in Philadelphia apartment fire

At least 13 people were killed in a fire that broke out early Wednesday morning in a house in the American city of Philadelphia, firefighting teams announced.

A representative of the firefighters at the scene said that seven children are among the victims of this fire, which broke out this morning, Wednesday, in the Fairmont residential neighborhood in central Philadelphia.

And the firefighting teams said in a previous statement that their members worked for about 50 minutes to control the fire that broke out on the second and third floors of the house.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
