New York .. The trial of the Turkish “Khalkbank” bank in the Federal Court is suspended

The New York Court of Appeals suspended the trial of the charges against Turkey’s Halkbank in the Federal Court, so that the bank could exercise its right of appeal to the Supreme Court.

After this decision, the way became clear for the bank to appeal to the Supreme Court in the lawsuit filed against it.

On October 22 last, the Second Court of Appeals in New York rejected the request to drop the lawsuit filed by the bank regarding the case against it.

Turkey’s Halkbank faces accusations of “violating US sanctions imposed on Iran” in the United States.
