The Timetoact Group, provider of IT services for medium-sized companies, corporations and public institutions in German-speaking countries, takes over PKS Software GmbH from Ravensburg. The parties involved have agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction. The two companies already have a long-standing partnership. Heidi Schmidt and Roland Zurawka, who previously formed the management of PKS, will continue to manage the company. Schmidt is also a shareholder in the Timetoact Group.
With the acquisition, Timetoact is continuing the buy & build strategy it started 15 years ago and is also pushing the specialization in high-quality consulting and IT services. The group, headquartered in Cologne, currently includes eight specialized corporate brands at 16 locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland: ARS, Cloudpilots, Edcom, GPA, NovaCapta, Synaigy, Timetoact and X-Integrate. Together they employ around 700 people and work in the area of software and consulting services for medium-sized and large companies in the industrial, financial and service sectors as well as public institutions.
PKS was founded in 1991 and has specialized in the customer-specific further development of business-critical individual software. The main aim is to optimize grown software landscapes in such a way that they support modern and error-free cooperation with customers and suppliers. To do this, the PKS experts create analyzes of existing systems, design transformation concepts and implement them.
PKS also takes over the ongoing software maintenance and care for its customers and advises and supports them in the introduction of modern development environments and processes (DevOps) as well as the training and further education of the development teams. In 2021, the Upper Swabian company generated sales of around 10 million euros with around 60 employees.
Even after the takeover by the Timetoact Group, the company is managed by the previous PKS managing directors Heidi Schmidt and Roland Zurawka. Schmidt also participates in the Timetoact Group and thus expands the group of management shareholders. In addition, PKS will now set up its planned new office in northern Germany together with the Timetoact Group.
