Apple’s new products?: iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 5 registered with the authorities
Three new entries have been published in the database of the Eurasian Economic Commission: These are Apple-branded “smartphones” and “tablets” that work with iOS 15. Accordingly, Apple wants in the Eurasian Economic Area a new iPhone with the model numbers Sell A2481, A2482, A2483, A2484, A2595, A2626, A2631, A2636, A2641, A2783, A2784. In this series of eleven model numbers, only three are actually new and have not been associated anywhere with the iPhone. The A2481 to A2484 series are iPhone 13 models from Mini to Max with a 5G modem that also supports millimeter waves. Until then, Apple sold such iPhones in the US.
The four other iPhone 13 models (AA2626, A2631, A2636, A2641) have a modem with 5G NR bandwidths, which Apple has sold in Canada, Mexico and Japan. That leaves three model numbers (A2595, A2783, A2784) for the upcoming iPhone SE 3, which has been forecast for late March or early April 2022. Accordingly, the new smartphone will be a mixture of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 8, enriched with the 5G modem. Read more about this here: ” The iPhone SE 3 turns the wheel without reinventing it“.
The database of the Eurasian Economic Commission contains two current articles with several model numbers for iPads. One post leads Number A2437, A2589, A2591, A2757, A2761, A2766, A2777, another – Number A2436, A2588, A2696, A2759. All eleven model numbers are not found in the database of Everymac – the website has a catalog of all Apple products broken down by models with their model numbers. It’s easy to imagine what kind of ominous iPad this can be: The augurs are predicting a fifth generation iPad Air with a 5G module. However, at Everymac there are only four model numbers for each new iPad Air, but Apple has registered eleven new ones. Whether we can expect an updated iPad (sans Air, Mini, and Pro) at the spring keynote remains to be seen. The latest rumours however, predict release towards the end of 2022. (Macwelt)
