Avenga has appointed Marcel Kappestein to the management board as of January 17, 2022. He now manages the company together with Thorsten May, who has been managing director since 2019. Kappestein reports directly to Jan Webering, Global CEO of the Avenga Group.
at come on Kappestein is responsible for the strategic and technological implementation of the digital transformation of corporations and large medium-sized companies as well as business development in the DACH region. The 37-year-old from Olpe in North Rhine-Westphalia comes from the Expertplace Networks Group, where he last worked as Executive Vice President and before that as authorized signatory. Earlier positions were sales management and key account management at Haubner IT (now Part of Netcologne) and the management of the IT business unit Ferchau Engineering.
“Marcel Kappestein has exactly the expertise that we wanted to bring on board for our further growth in the DACH market,” says Jan Webering, Global CEO of the Avenga Group. “He knows the challenges of digital transformation from many years of practice and accordingly has a wealth of experience both in strategy consulting and in the concrete implementation of digitization projects in large companies. Avenga Germany is the German subsidiary of the Avenga Group. It was created in 2019 through the merger of the four previously independent IT service providers Sevenval, IT Kontrakt, CoreValue and Solidbrain. At that time, the newly formed company had around 2,500 employees at nine locations in Europe, Asia and the USA. Since then, however, it has grown considerably: It currently employs over 3,500 specialists at 27 locations in Europe, Asia and the USA.
