Turkey.. Mandatory disease examination for those who are about to marry

The Turkish Ministry of Health has started implementing a mandatory examination for “Spinal Muscular Atrophy” for those who are about to marry. This procedure aims to determine the chances of newborns contracting this disease from individuals who do not know that they are carriers.
