Video- Chinese characters on the shirts of Paris Saint-Germain players… What’s the story?

Paris Saint-Germain celebrated the Chinese New Year in a special way, by printing the names of its players on the club’s shirts in Chinese characters, in the team’s match against Stade Reims in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.

Today, Monday, the official account of Saint-Germain on Twitter published pictures of club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi receiving the Chinese ambassador to France, and gifting him a Messi shirt.

“President Nasser Al-Khulaifi welcomes the Chinese ambassador to France and the famous pianist Lang Lang to the Princes’ Garden to celebrate the Chinese New Year,” Saint-Germain wrote in the tweet.

The celebration of the Chinese New Year is the most important celebration in China, and it coincides with the beginning of the first lunar month in the Chinese year, and is usually celebrated between the end of January until mid-February.

Paris Saint-Germain won the match 4-0, and saw Spanish defender Sergio Ramos score his first goal with the Parisian team.
