Virtual goods fair and physical congress: EP is only planning a small spring event
Even after two years of the corona pandemic, it is not possible for EP to return to normal in the event calendar. The traditional spring fair of the association will take place from February 18th to March 4th as a virtual goods fair, including a comprehensive webinar offer. As a supplement, a new physical format will follow on April 29th and 30th: The first Electronic Partner Congress in Düsseldorf with workshops, lectures and selected goods. “We have a lot planned for 2022 and we have the right team to achieve our goals, no matter what challenges the ongoing crisis situation still has in store for us,” explains Friedrich Sobol, board member of the association.
Together with its members and partners, EP has managed to confidently steer all business areas through the pandemic in the second Corona year. The company will publish the exact sales figures next March. According to Sobol, preliminary results already indicate a fundamentally positive development. “And in 2022 we will do everything we can to offer the best service for entrepreneurial success,” said the board of directors of the association.
In addition to the recently launched “Go Green” campaign, which runs like a red thread through the entire association, there will be individual projects for the three core brands EP:, Medimax and comTeam as strategic priorities in 2022. The EP brand should: further expand its positioning as the leading specialist retail brand in the German electronics industry. “While competitors are increasingly focusing on the large area, the strength of the EP:Members is the best, personal service in a concentrated area in the middle of the community,” says a statement. This unique selling point wants to make the cooperation visible even more effectively in the future through targeted advertising and communication measures on all channels.

After the completed conversion into a pure franchise system in 2022, EP wants to refresh the image of the specialist retail chain Medimax. “Together we are working on a new look and feel that, in combination with our extraordinary range of services, will drive the expansion of Medmix,” explains Sobol. At Medmimax, too, EP continues to focus on individual service for the franchise partners in order to provide the best possible support when addressing customers. The path that Medimax took with the completion of privatization and the new brand claim “More people. More technology” is to be continued in close cooperation with the franchise partners.
In the technology network comTeam, the focus in 2022 should be on expanding know-how through the comTeach Campus, because regular training and further education are essential for survival, especially in the constantly reinventing IT world.
Ultimately, EP boss Sobol wants to pursue the issue of sustainability across the board: “A central building block in all our activities in 2022, whether at national or international level, is the Go Green project. Together with our members in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands we will pursue a holistic approach and ensure that the topic of sustainability is lived in the ElectronicPartner association.” In addition to the publication of a sustainability report, this included the development of new, primarily sustainable product ranges and dealing with measures for generating and storing electricity.
