ServiceNow has named former Salesforce and Coca-Cola executive Ulrik Nehammer as the new EMEA President. His predecessor, Paul Smith, is promoted to Chief Commercial Officer. “For me, my job is about not only offering our customers but also their customers first-class service,” says Nehammer when he took office, “I want to help shape our society and that’s exactly what ServiceNow matters. I am convinced that even the best manager cannot achieve anything without their team. Therefore, I am excited about the team spirit that prevails at ServiceNow and the challenges ahead.”
Nehammer was most recently CEO for the APAC region at Salesforce. He joined Salesforce in 2017 after a one-year sabbatical as a Strategic Customer Advisor and thus entered the IT industry in a broader sense. Nehammer, who is a first lieutenant in the Danish army and completed a management training at the IMD Business School in Lausanne and an advanced course at Harvard, previously had a career in lemonade sales: He started at Coca-Cola in 1992.
He then held various management positions in the company and several of its bottling plants for over 20 years. Among other things, Nehammer was successively responsible for Hungary, Indochina, Poland, Austria and Slovenia as well as Italy within the brewing empire. His last position at the beverage manufacturer was as CEO of Coca-Cola Erfrischungstrinke AG in Berlin.
With the change from the old to the new economy, Nehammer is entering an extremely dynamic environment – as the current figures from ServiceNow also show. ServiceNow’s global subscription revenue was $1.5 billion for the fourth quarter of 2021 and $5.57 billion for the full fiscal year. According to the latest financial results, the company achieved an operating margin of 25 percent.
At the same time, ServiceNow exceeded forecasts for the fourth quarter of 2021 on all key figures. Currency-neutral subscription revenue increased 30 percent. With 135 transactions with an annual net new contract value of more than one million dollars, the company exceeded the good results in the comparable period of the previous year by 52 percent in the fourth quarter of 2021.
