Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, in his speech to the “The Other Side” program, ruled out his candidacy again for the presidency of the International Football Association (FIFA), and he hoped that the World Cup that Qatar will organize will be a model for all Arabs.

The Jordanian prince touched on his sporting career, especially his victory in 2011 as Vice President of the International Football Association, and his candidacy in 2015 for the presidency of the Federation, revealing the difficulty of that experience, expressing his regret that Arab countries did not vote for him, and some people who have influence in sports stood strongly against him He said he did not know the reason for that.

He also touched on the Asian Football Development Project, which he founded in 2012, and his moves to allow Muslim women to wear the hijab in sports.

In the context of the issue of sports, Ali bin Al Hussein – in response to a question about Qatar’s organization of the 2022 World Cup – asserts that there will be full cooperation between his country and Qatar, and Oman will support and assist Doha.

On the other hand, the Jordanian Prince discussed his projects and roles inside Jordan, including the establishment of the Jordanian Crisis Center, the first of its kind in the region. He says that his idea came under the directives of King Abdullah II, and he explained that the center deals with various crises, including natural and health crises, and also helps with economic issues, and has cooperation with other countries.

Prince Ali bin Al Hussein also spoke about his childhood and the death of his mother, Princess Alia, when he was two years old. He says that his maternal grandmother took care of him after that. He continued to talk about his father, the late Jordanian King Hussein bin Talal, who said that he used to ask his children about their opinions, ideas and aspirations when they were young.
