
“It’s war” .. Eto’o motivates Cameroon players before facing Egypt in the semi-finals of the African Nations
The head of the Cameroon Football Association, Samuel Eto’o, sent a letter to motivate his country’s players before the expected confrontation with the Egyptian team next Thursday in the semi-finals of the African Nations Cup, which Cameroon is currently hosting.
Addressing the players, Eto’o said, “Everything you have achieved depends on next Thursday’s match. Get ready. Get ready with the same mentality, because it is war.”

“It’s the way we have to deal with this match, the war. You can’t waste this opportunity, it’s impossible, it’s impossible.”
The two teams will meet in the semi-finals at the Olympic Stadium in the capital, Yaoundé. Egypt qualified for this round after beating its Moroccan counterpart 2-1, while Cameroon qualified after beating its Gambian counterpart 2-0.
Egypt holds the record for winning the African Nations Cup with 7 titles, followed by Cameroon with 5 titles.
