Envy Inspire and LaserJet models of the 100 series: HP introduces new printers for the home office
The new HP Envy Inspire is advertised as the ultimate multifunction printer for productivity, creation and learning at home. The devices consist of 45 percent recycled plastic and come in a simple, neutral white. The new photo printing features include the ability to add the date and location to the back of the photo. It is also the first HP printer family to be certified “works with Chromebook”.
The particularly compact design of the HP LaserJet M110 and M140 series was developed for efficient work, fast printing and easy mobile solutions. According to HP, the world’s smallest models in their class are available as pure printers or as multifunction devices with a flatbed scanner. With a print speed of up to 20 pages per minute, the wireless function with automatic “self-healing” and auto-on/auto-off technology, the LaserJet models are designed to ensure maximum performance and print quality in the home office.
Since its inception HP+ heavily discussed and is certainly not suitable for every area due to its limitations (chip control for consumables) and security concerns (constant online access by HP).
HP+ is integrated by default in the Envy Inspire models – the decision can be made here during the installation process, according to HP. The LaserJet M110 and M140 series are available in stores both as versions with HP+, extended manufacturer’s warranty, Smart App and security functions (we) and as standard devices (w) with a significant price surcharge.
With the Smart App, HP+ customers can securely and flexibly access their printer and send, save or print files, according to the US manufacturer. In addition, the HP Smart App enables high-quality scans and sharing on Dropbox, Google Drive or in the cloud. In addition, HP+ users get six months of Instant Ink and an extra year of warranty. Last but not least, with every page printed by HP+ customers, HP protects forests and supports reforestation projects to the same extent, the company promises.
Entry into the Envy Inspire 7200e series starts at 154.90 euros, with the 7900e series from 184.90 euros. The LaserJets M110w costs 209.90 euros, as a subscription model M110we with HP+ 149.90 euros. The LaserJet MFP M140w costs 279.90 euros and 199.90 euros for the we model. All printers should already be available. The prices are non-binding recommendations including tax.
