The Emir of Qatar receives the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco
The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received, on Monday, Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, and Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, in the Qatari capital, Doha.
During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways of developing and strengthening them, in addition to discussing the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.
Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met with his Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita, yesterday, Monday in Doha, on the sidelines of the eighth session of the Joint Higher Committee between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Morocco.
During the meeting, bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries were reviewed, a number of issues of common interest, and 6 memoranda of understanding and executive programs related to youth, sports and control were signed.
The Moroccan-Qatari Joint Higher Committee is one of the most prominent aspects of economic cooperation between the two countries. It meets every two years with the aim of strengthening economic relations between the two countries and signing joint agreements.
This committee was established in 1996, and its sessions are held alternately every two years. It is considered an effective tool for constructive dialogue and for promoting bilateral cooperation.
